Umpteenth Time Using Turbotax

I jumped the gun and tried to download tax reporting statements from my financial institution before they were all ready. When I went back to get the remaining ones, some of the statements I had previously downloaded did so again, so I had double entries on my tax forms. I could never get a clear and easy summary of which forms had been downloaded and which had not. Also, the download function was difficult to go back and find. I finally used the dropdown menu at the top of the page. Not very intuitive Intuit.

This is the only way to go! I used other paid tax preparation services before and paid hundreds. I get the same results from Turbo Tax.

I was not able to e-file because I needed to append notes to my return. Could TurboTax add a page for notes to be filed on the internet?

If you are a widower, don't put the year of your wife's death unless you have an underage child. The return gets confused and will not let you file.

I tried to use the online version. I needed to visit a form to put in information the guide didn't visit. I had to stop that and go buy the program

Good Overall Program

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and have found it very thorough and helpful. I used the Basic version this year because I do not need to pay a state tax. No program is perfect for every user, because we all have different approaches to doing our taxes. However, I like the program and have found it very useful.
The only complaint I have is the upgrade/additional feature ads that pop up during use of the program. I sometimes went back to review/redo parts of my tax package and did not really want to see the ads show up again. There should be an option to decline and prevent them from showing up again.
