Turbotax Package Selection

I've been using Turbotax Basic Online for many years but this year, somehow, I was automatically given a higher level package online.. I was half way through with my input when I realized I was using the. much more expense package. The primary problem was trying to find a telephone number to call and speak to a human being who could handle my case. None of your automatic responses addressed my problem It took me almost three, repeat three hours to find the proper telephone number. When I finally got through I found out that although it very easy to upgrade the online product I was using but impossible, repeat, impossible to downgrade to the product I should have been given in the first p[ace,
It took three contacts with your people before the problem was solved by transferring all my online data to a new separate Basic Package. Incidentally I am still receiving reminders that I never completed the advanced online package and encouraging me to do so . Meanwhile back at the ranch, the Turbotax Basic Data went through, was accepted and I got my refund at my bank in about ten days. My heartfelt thanks to the third person who handled my case (a young lady} and finally solved the problem. The first two tried but did not solve the problem. How is that for a horror story?? I hope none of this will cause any data retrieval problem for me next year when I again try to use Turbotax Basic online. You may be sure that I will triple check to make sure I am working on the appropriate product next year. If you would like to check this all out my Incident Number was #10876748. When you do so please congratulate the last lady who handled and solved my problem. She did an outstanding job.

w2 problem

Get your act together on the missing w2 problem. I've used Turbo Tax for years and spent more time trying to get rid of a non-existent w2. Tried to get rid of it by looking at forms ... no where to be found.
Not happy about spending time looking on internet to solve problem. This form should, at least, show up on the forms menu....

Great product

I worked for the IRS for 22 years on incoming customer service phone lines. Turbo Tax is a great product for people who want to learn to do their own taxes as well as for retired pros. I've used it for several years now and even for a professional like myself it is far better than trying to do it by hand. After reviewing the worksheets I have a lot of confidence that the calculations are always done correctly.

Makes It Easy

I have used TurboTax for several years. I find it easy to use. I like being able to back up and change things if I see that I have misunderstood something. I like the additional explanations that are provided when you need them, and I like being able to print them out for my file.
