Worked fine until I completed all inputs and wanted a copy for my records. I had difficulty in understanding how to get a printed review copy before submitting my copy to IRS electronically.

Turbo Tax is where it is at when it comes to filing the dreaded Federal Income Tax. Seems to get easier every year.

Presentation of a home sale and new purchase in the same year is somewhat confusing. Otherwise, all flowed well.

Procrastinators Love TurboTax

As always I wait until the last minute to do my tax returns. I normally don't owe but I just hate doing taxes. Turbo Tax allows me to wait until the last possible minute and can be completed in less then an hour (in my case).
I am able to easily import last year's tax information (names, addresse, SSN, etc.). It also allows me to easily import my W-2 data with a few simple key strokes or with a cut and paste if you have downloaded your W-2 to a PDF.
I use to use the booklets years ago and always worried about hitting the right line and correct column to figure out what my tax liability was. I don't have to pull out the ruler to do my taxes now.
I like the easy e-file. If you want your refund deposited to the same account year after year TurboTax will remember that information for you.
Email notification that the taxes have been sent, received, etc. also sets my mind at ease.
The only problem that I had with this years version is that by skipping over the Installment Sale Income section of the program it filled out the form automatically but would pass the internal audit due to missing information. It took me a little time to figure out what section generated the form, update that section, and remove the form.
All in all, a good experience this year as it has been for many years now.

"free??"

It is a very easy to follow process and the step by step approach is great for someone who has never filed taxes before. My husband has always done it, but this year it was my turn. Very simple. My only complaint is that the options to e-file were advertised as "free", but they actually DO cost money to e-file. It was a minor frustration, but I feel that if you have already paid the money for the program, you should not have to pay extra to e-file. Otherwise, they should not state that it is Free.

Filing for a minor child

This is the forth return I've prepared for my grandson using turbotax. this year the return was rejected because the boxes regarding his being claimed on another return had not been check appropriately. It was a trick figuring out how to get back to fix the problem. Luckily I've been using turbotax since 1994 so knew a bit about changing work sheets instead of editing the form directly.
Also want to point out that the first time I filed his tax return, I was unable to file electronically. Don't know if turbotax has changed this, but it was a pain and had to make a mad dash to the post office!
