Frustrated by state return
on April 10, 2012

I have used your Basic TurboTax for many years, and have generally been satisfied with it. This year I attempted to use the Indiana state software, since that state no longer has their own tax return website. At first, you said that I could file Indiana state for free, after a $19.95 mail-in rebate. Then you took me to the software purchase site and asked for $44.95, plus tax. It appears that you are trying to take financial advantage of your customers at every opportunity, by often dangling upgrades with exagerated offers of higher refunds, etc. I'll now proceed to check out the other providers that offer free Indiana state filing. Depending upon how that goes, this may be my last year with TurboTax.

Forms need improvement
on April 10, 2012

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have not had any trouble until this year! Form 2106 Standard Mileage - message error read: question-1 should be blank. I had to change and change and change the answers and still did not resolve the "problem". Form 4797 I used my car only three months for business purposes in 2011 and then closed that business but kept my car for personal use only. Form 4797 just did not allow me to do. It wanted me to dispose of it. Form 6198 - nothing at risk but the form kept wanting something. Altogether quite a nightmare. Probably will not continue to use Turbo Tax in the future. Those three forms used up quite a bit of of time. Could have manually filed in less time.

Even though one can briefly alphabetize the dividend list while entering dividends, it is very frustrating to have it continually going back to a hodge-podge. I've been using Turbo Tax since 1988 and this problem was corrected for a short while, but then you dropped that feature. Please let us alphabetize for both working with and printing out the return!

First the program wouldn't load onto my computer, so I had to find another computer. Multiple error messages came. And I owed more money. Terrible
