Filing made easy

Makes taxes easy, covers all the little things without your having to first read pages of instruction or updates in the tax laws. Well worth the money and you can do it anytime without waiting for a tax prep appointment. Used it for years, great program.

TurboTax 2011 For Windows

Okay, I use TurboTax because that's all I've ever known for 10+ years, and it 's been a familiar "known-quantity", i.e. I know what to expect and can go right in each year and quickly, efficiently, and accurately knock out my taxes.
PROBELM #1: In the 2011 tax year version, I got to the end and it said I needed an update. Went to updates and it said I was current. Tried to e-File again, and got caught in the same loop. I eventually found the "manual" update online - but this should NEVER happen. It should just work.
PROBLEM #2: Immediately after install, I noticed that my computer would crash when coming back out of standby (Windows XP SP3). I'm sure that it had something to do with the .Net 4 package that TurboTax automatically installed. And my firewall kept giving warnings that .Net wanted to keep accessing the internet every 5 minutes when TurboTax or any other programs were not running. I've read several places to avoid .Net, as it causes problems. TurboTax should NOT rely upon .Net. After e-Filing, printing, and saving my return, I restored the image of my hard drive to just before I installed TurboTax, and all is well with the computer. Next year I will be watching more closely for these problems. Don't let it happen again.

save money and time

I have been using an accountant and for three years he has missed deductions and the IRS caught it and sent me more money. I would compile all the information in quick books and give it to him, all he had to do was plug in my numbers and was charged from 375.00 to 450.00 which took him a total of ten minutes to do. If this has worked right I have saved myself lots of time and money.

I have been using this product for the past 15 years. I was pleased from the beginning, and that has only improved over time.

Easy to use -but can't print pages

I like to copy certain pages in the process of calculating taxes. This program does not allow that.
Other than the above, I am so far happy with the results.
