Turbo Tax customer for over a decade

I have fined my returns with turbo tax for over a decade. I started with EZ returns in college and now manage a household with all the deductions. My first returns I filed on paper. I once bought the H&R Block software and it had a bug in it that would not let me take an education credit. I took it back and bought Turbo Tax and filed my taxes with the proper education credit. I will never purchase anything but Turbotax. I am a HUGE Turbotax fan!

The softrware is as easy to use as always, but the $45 download fee for the state return was a real shocker. I believe this has been in the $10 range in the past

The program is easy to follow except for the section on deductions when one has form different than any form listed. Program could not find my 2010 tax forms on computer although I could find them, program would import files information.

lost technical support chat 3 times due to technical problem (ha) when answering info on investments, if you furnished an aquired date the program would change your selection of box 6 checked/unchecked.. filed in texas as home state but gambling winning in Mississippi said i needed to purchase Mississippi state tax.. Mississippi is a flat 3% non refundable tax on casino winnings. These issues did not give me a feeling of confidence about the software....

Very frustrated dealing with the form 6252 question. I did not have any Installment Sale Income but the system insisted I had. Would not let me file. Joined online community and received answer to my question (go to list of Fed forms and delete 6252) but shouldn't have had to do this in the first place,

The return was easy to prepare and file, except for the handling of the 1099-r from by IRA. My financial institution provided me a SINGLE 1099-r. It included both my regular withdrawals, money I withdrew for a rollover, and money I converted to a Roth IRA. It was confusing when Turbo Tax required me to input 3 separate 1099 entries, when I had only received one. I ended up having to delete and re-enter the information several times before I got everything in the correct place. If the IRS does not require separate 1099's, I don't understand why Turbo Tax requires them.
