Heads up! I bought 2 TVs, one for me, one for my parents. Both get damaged after a couple of months. They turn off and won't show any picture or sound. Bad experience
Pros: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Buy

I bought this HDTV to replace an old non-digital TV. The 32 inch LG was a perfect fit for my bedroom. Has a great picture and was breeze to setup. The speakers leave a little to be desired but perform well enough for my usage. A lot of bang for the buck.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love it, right out of the box, set up was easy. Great picture and user friendly. Don't waste your money buying something cheaper, because that's what you will get. This is the best 32" out there.

Bad audio tv
on June 7, 2012

Overall, the tv is ok, but the audio is really bad as far as the sound going thru the back of the tv instead of coming forward. If you stand behind the tv it is really loud, but from the front it is very low. The tv is not mounted on the wall but is free standing on a counter with no wall behind it. Wondering if there is something that you can do to help this situation.
Pros: easy to use

Read The Reviews Before Purchasing ...

I am admittedly "old-school" when it comes to being a videophile. I bought this TV only because I assumed I would get a far superior picture and be able to see the ENTIRE broadcast, unlike my still very nice and functional 27" box TV. In all fairness, let me say that I live in a rural area where HD is not even available (unfortunately it's DirectTV or nothing ...yuck!). In my situation, this TV provides a picture that is slightly superior to my old box TV. The sound is very weak, as noted in ALL the previous reviews (5 out of 5?? Seriously? Check out the reviews.). But what really sets me off is that I still can't see the entire picture on Fox! (if it's an HD thing, forgive my indignation). What finally drove me to give up my perfectly good TV was that while watching the World Series on Fox, I could see only 60% of the game and never the score and "ticker" they put up in the far corner of the screen. I have tried EVERY ONE of the numerous settings available to me, yet none has been able to give me a full screen on Fox (it does seem to work OK on every other station). I got this TV at a fair price online, but all in all, it's only OK at best. I'd look long and hard before purchasing another LG TV without viewing it live and in person. Hope this helps ...
Pros: 5 out of 5??

32 " LED Sound Could be Better!
on December 28, 2011

I love my new LG 32" LED television. It is our secondary set which is located in our bedroom. I would not recommend this television for a room other then a bedroom or smaller utility area in the house. The soundis ok, but our old 19" tube television had better sound. I suggested you save up for a quality sound bar. That is what we are going to do.
Pros: Style/Design

TV has very good picture. Don't care for the squahed effect in 16:9 mode. Makes people look short and plump. Sound is tinny and very poor quality. Had to buy a sound bar to get satisfactory sound. Owners manual did not have any instructions for the remote control. Not even a picture of the control identifying the buttons and their function. Had to use trial and error to learn how to use lt.
