I'm a business person, that's why I select a Windows-based OS. I depend on getting emails on my phone (4 different accounts). My email accounts are POP3. I want to read my emails, but I don't want them cluttering up the memory on my phone, so I routinely delete them after reading them. However, I need to retain those emails on my server/PC to keep the information and take further action when I'm back in the office. The i677 does not have a setting to allow emails to remain on the server, after emails are deleted from the phone, they get deleted from the server. This is a MAJOR design/software flaw on this phone. I previously owned the Samsung PropelPro SGH-i627 Windows 6.1 which I loved and it had this feature. I expected this phone to be more advanced, not have fewer features. This phone is useless to me. I'm extremely disappointed . It's an attractive phone, but deficient in this critical feature for the business person who should be the market for a Windows phone.
the ring length is way to short. horrible to try and answer
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, low volume and time length
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Windows Phone 7.5 is great, easy to navigate, add shortcuts, and apps.
I have had quite a few lockups, they seem to occure when I get a meeting notice and possibly a text at the same time.
The other problem that I have with it is that the battery will not last through the day. I am lucky if I get from 8:00am to 6:00pm on a charge, and that is not even using the phone much or making only a few calls during the day.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, battery life, random lockups
I would recommend this to a friend!
