Great double oven, so-so cooktop

I owned this oven for a couple of years before I traded for a different model. I bake bread and rolls a lot and I love the proof feature in the lower oven. I don't know why all ovens don't have that feature. Both the upper and lower ovens bake evenly with no significant hot spots. The upper oven preheats quickly and, unlike some ovens that I have seen, it is large enough that you can still see the top of your food while it is cooking. I would have kept this range forever if the ovens were the only factor, but I also had to cook on the cooktop. That proved to be frustrating for me for two main reasons. First, there are only 4 units and both larges ones are in the front with the 2 small ones in the back. I probably do 75% of my cooking on the small units which means that I spend most of my time leaning over the stove to reach the back units, which is a pain in the back (literally). Placing one large and one small unit on the front and diagonally opposite on the back would be more convenient. Secondly, the digital controls are frustrating to use. When you turn a unit on, you have to touch the + or - button which will start the unit on High or Low, respectively. You then have to touch the OTHER button to scroll up or down. If you hold it down it scrolls quickly after a brief pause and will usually overshoot your desired temperature, so you have to select the other button to step it back down. I usually single-stepped it to the temperature to avoid the overshoot and run back drill. After a couple of years of 3 or 4 button pushes to set the temperature of a unit, I decided that I wanted knobs.

Wonderful Oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this model for 4 years already and I absolutely love it. Having 2 ovens is an amazing feature. I can bake and broil at the same time. For safety reasons, you can only clean one oven at a time. I do recommend getting the extended warranty, as one of my top burners burned out and had to be replaced. My service was excellent. That is the only issue I have had in 4 years. It's a really wonderful oven and stovetop.I love the feature of a delightful musical tones when my set temperature is met. Always makes me smile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] have had this oven since 4/2014, If trying to use both ovens we get a F19 code, repairman said our house electrical, which was checked and is fine, when baking rolls in bottom oven one side burn the other is not even browned, and botton doughy , top oven not big enough to use when baking rising breads or rolls, you have to use top rack or bottom burns and then top hits top of oven and sticks and burns. was so excited to get it, and now just still disappointed.

I love my double oven range!~

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a gourmet cook, I spend a lot of time at my stove. Wanted a double oven range since during holidays, it makes for tremendous convenience. The main reason I chose LG is because it was the only brand that offered a glass door. At low temperatures, you can get a lot of cooking done, as the elements throw the heat nicely. However, since I got it, have noticed it has a lot of OOMPH!~ It has a thermal glass cooktop, whcih I love. The interior of the oven is royal blue. The smaller oven bakes cakes and cookies nicely and roasts vegetables beautifully. Of, course, the large oven is the one we use to make large roasts like brisket or to roast a turkey. It is aesthetic and I love it!~

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros -Love my double oven range , speed broil is awesome , cooktop is easy to keep clean ,can bake many things at a time, Cons- problem is the bottom oven has lost temp settings is out at least 75 to 80 degrees so if you set your temp for 350 you get 260 as a temp , top oven is out 10 degrees not to bad, repair man says it needs a new motherboard , so's tried to find a price for one is impossible , grrr , really hate to have to buy another range
