While I have been extremely impressed with GE's technical assistance, I struggle giving this washing machine a high mark. I am now on my 3rd brand new machine. The first one was purchased new and only lasted 6 washes before the lid lock broke and it would not run. It was replaced with another brand new one and this one lasted ONE wash and then it started making crunching noises and the agitator broke (at least that it the part I think) I then got my 3rd brand new washing machine and this one functions so far (it has only been one week) but I can feel that the water does not drain all the way and I am concerned about mold (I was told that this is standard with this type of machine so it may be fine) but I think I will probably use it for a few months and then maybe replace it with another brand. All these appliances were purchased from a reputable dealer, all were in their stock less than one week, and they have measured my floor to make sure that is level so this is a washer design issue in my opinion. So in summary, this washing machine seems like it could have some issues with the design or quality of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time it starts it bangs with a load noise. The water level is so low it never covers the clothes yet it has a large basket. Finally figured out to turn on power rinse and extra rinse. For a month there was a terrible smell coming from it but is gone now. 4 months later.

I just had this installed the other day so I have not had it long. So far I love it. It looks great and is very quiet. First dishes run look clean and dry!

Have washed four loads...so far so good. Love that I can see my wash through the glass top. I'm able to see that the clothes are really getting washed well. I really like seeing my clothes really rinsing well too.
