Love my GE washer

OMG, Love my washer now!
First load did not come out right due to HF and they looked like water did not get to some areas, I was very upset. BUT, with extra rinse and fabric softener on it's FANTASTIC. I can wash anything.. pillows, confronters, towels and jeans. Clothes come out 80% dry (that's why some areas look dry), that means a lot less time in the dryer I've noticed. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT ABOUT HIS DRYER...Just wish this model had the basket light.

Disapointed with Rinsing

I bought this washer 5 months ago and was very excited. Our washer was on it's last leg and we wanted a new top loading energy efficient washer. We did a lot of research and decided on the GE GTWS. We were excited about a lot of the features i.e large tub, all the different setting, steam for sanitizing. We were also sold on the fact of not having to orginize the clothes in a certain way in order for the clothes sensors to work. We did our first loads of clothes and we were imediately disapointed, we had to re-rinse the darks because it would leave detergent stains on most of the clothes. We have always used HE detergent but switched brands of detergents and the same issue occurs. We have to over-ride the HE low water use to get enough water in the tub to get a thurough rinse, which defeats the purpose of the HE aspect of this washer. I imagine it is leaving the stains on the whites as well we just can't see it because they are the same color.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why Is My Washer Telling Me What to Do

I have almost no control over the length of the wash, amount of water used...I cannot open the lid while washer is filling with water....soft close top has to be pushed 2 or 3 times before it closes on it's own...what's the use of soft close if I have to go through 3 steps? Low spin cycle leaves my delicates wrinkled

This washer came with my new house. It's user friendly (not complicated) and attractive; washes well....but the best feature, it's virtually noiseless.
