A parenting necessity for us.

I bought this baby monitor about 2 months ago and it is by far the best product I have invested in so far as a parent. The infrared camera works amazingly for at night or when it's dark during her naps. I LOVE the fact that we were able to mount it to the wall so that we can see her straight on as she sleeps. The peep function is awesome as well. My daughter doesn't sleep through the night yet, but falls asleep in a matter of minutes after a quick midnight feeding. With the peep function, the screen turns on and wakes me up once she's woken up, a feed her, and we're all back asleep in less than 5 minutes. The wireless range is really good too. While she's napping I'm able to go outside and do gardening or anything else and still have a strong signal.
The one thing I will say that isn't as good as I hoped, is the battery life of the screen. I've found that I have to plug it in every night otherwise it dies during the daytime the next day, which isn't a big deal, but it would still be nice if I didn't have to since the battery life was advertised as 36hrs. Also you absolutely have to read the manual to understand how to use the functions. NBD, but still could be more user friendly.
All in all, an excellent purchase and after the first use, I felt was worth every penny!

My wife and I just purchased this monitor in preparation for our first child, due at the end of this month. We haven't used this with a child yet, but have it installed in our nursery and have tested it out to ensure that it will work well for us. So far, we're very satisfied, and look forward to being able to monitor our child with quality video and sound.

We registered for and received the Stella monitor for our baby shower, and are so glad we did! It has great picture, sound and screen size. We use the "peep" mode often for extra battery life, but have also found that it helps us sleep better - no monitor image to constantly stare at and get anxious over. Several of our friends have purchased the Stella monitor after seeing ours and realizing it was better than theirs. We are very pleased with our purchase!

After having my first video monitor from a different company stop working when my second child was 6 weeks of age, I began to research for a new monitor. I previously owned a Motorola and decided since it lasted 2.5 years (about 1.5 years of use), I would look for a better monitor as we plan to have at least 1 more child. Before finding this monitor, I purchased 2 other monitors and returned them due to not liking the features (I.E. not being able to pan the room and app feature for smart phone was worthless for my family). There are only 2 things I would change about this monitor. The first, I would add a belt clip to allow it to be worn easily while doing house chores. The second, I would extend the cord of the camera so I can mount it higher on the wall (like my previous camera). There are so many positives of this camera that I can do without the above. The battery life is amazing. My previous monitor, I would charge every night and the battery life dwindled down to about 4 hours. I have only owned this monitor for about a month now but I do not charge every night and most of the time can go 2 to 3 nights without charging. If I fear it is getting low, I go ahead and plug in to avoid being woken up. There is no battery display on the unit which initially I did not like until I realized how long the battery actually lasts. It does make a beeping noise when the handheld unit is running out of battery that is loud enough to wake me from my sleep. The monitor is rather large (even larger than I imagined) but it still fits in my pockets and has a great picture. I can tell if my daughter is sucking her thumb, moving, if she has a blanket on her and her head/arm positions during the day or with the night vision. I feel the camera is better than my Motorola monitor I had previously and has different light settings to allow me to adjust to see her better. The PEEP feature scared me in the beginning as you wonder if it will actually work. It does! We have a radio playing in the room (that is just below the camera) and a loud fan across the room. Every now and again the radio will trigger the monitor to turn on (which we don't mind knowing the noise we have in the room). We have no trouble waking up to the monitor at night when she cries and we do not have the noise setting on the loudest option. The distance of the monitor being 750ft has been tested and I have only been out of range when I have gone 3 houses down! I have almost an acre of land and I haven't lost signal on it yet. So far I LOVE this baby monitor and would recommend to anyone needing one!

Works as expected. Easy to use. Panning option makes it perfect. Only thing missing, room temperature sensor.

I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago. My son is 15 months old. Today I can't imagine how we lived without this monitor before! The display is huge compering to other monitors! It's not HD video but the image is great day or night, and the ability to use 2-way audio, as well as the pan & tilt features, have come in handy so many times. I love this monitor! And highly recommend it to everyone!

Pros: -I love the large screen on the monitor and that I can zoom and scroll around the room and adjust the camera with a push of a button
-I love that the quality of the images are clear and most importantly night vision is very clear
-I love that the background noises do not overpower the sounds of my son, I can still hear him breathing, etc even though his mobile and fan run in the background
-I love the color changing noise volume circle on the front because I can turn the volume down on the monitor and still distinguish his noises just by glace (if he is just jibber jabbing, or really crying loudly) - if the color indicates a loud noise - I can turn the volume up higher
- Overall, it gives me piece of mind at night and during naps without disturbing him by going in his room to check on him, I use it every day and every night and it allows me to relax and enjoy my evenings with ease.

Cons: - the power cord went bad within 6 months and had to be replaced, and while it was replaced free of charge under the warranty, it was a pain to go without the monitor for a few days
-The battery life could be better, many times I wake up in the middle of the night to the beeping of the monitor battery going dead. It would be nice if it lasted through out the night without me having to plug it in, as the help guide to the monitor suggests that you don't leave the monitor plugged in all of the time because the battery will go bad and will stop holding charge.
