Happy with this gift

My husband purchased this as a gift while I was pregnant. We've been using this monitor for the past year. The zoom is okay, but we really use the pan and tilt feature the most. We can see most of the nursery with our current set up. The volume control is nice, as is the ability to mute. I'd buy it again.

Great baby monitor!

Excellent baby monitor. Love the clarity of the camera (even in the dark) and the range. Only small complaint is that the battery life on the monitor isn't 36 hours as the box says. Otherwise fantastic product.

Easy to assemble, mount, and use. Works well during day naps and at night. Lots of great features. The lullabies are also pretty catchy!

First video monitor

This is our first video monitor, so I have nothing prior to compare it with. It works well for what we need to date. We have been using it at night for the past month with no problem at all. We keep it plugged in beside our bed at all times, so I am unable to judge battery life. I wish the night picture was a little clearer but this may be typical of all video monitors. The pan and tilt mode is awesome. The zoom has its own button, separate from the pan and tilt. I wish these buttons were all together because now you can only zoom in the specific area you have selected from the pan and tilt button. To zoom in another area you have to once again select the pan and tilt button to go to another area of the room, then hit the zoom button to zoom in to that region. The sound works great and is quite loud. I have the camera sitting on a shelf now, but I think hanging from the wall above the crib will give the best visibility of the whole room. VWe bought this monitor to keep an eye on our toddler and newborn sharing the same room. I think it will serve this purpose perfectly.

Sleek monitor with some minor flaws

just bought this monitor as baby 2 is on the way and our angel care video monitor is on its last legs after being dropped too many times. Just placed the monitor in my sons room as he is sleeping and thought to write down my initial observations.
Starting with the good things, so far reception is flawless and monitor looks sleek and is very easy to control. Screen quality is a little lower than I expected, don't expect smartphone quality screens here. Infrared is much better than angel care and I like the PEEP function where the screen goes off when no activity (sound) is detected.
Some flaws.
We knew this when we bought the monitor and were happy to compromise but I think it is a shame that the temperature sensor is missing. Having lived in Scotland and now Louisiana we have experienced that it is handy to know what the temperature in the baby's room is. We have had central heating fail when it was freezing in Scotland and airco fail here in Louisiana in the high 90's. The alarm function (beeping) on the angel care was great in those instances.

Having just unwrapped the monitor and having worked my way through the manual I am disappointed that the indicator for low battery is visual and not audible. Very sure I will not wake up when the led ring around the menu button starts flashing. I am secretly hoping that they just forgot to mention there is an audible alarm when it is just about to die on me.
Will add if I think of other things or experience greatness or flaws, so far so good.

Great monitor

This is a really nice monitor. I would love to be able to see multiple cameras at the same time but it is easy enough to switch between the cameras. Having the video, as part of the monitor, gives me peace of mind since my baby is starting to roll over.

I just got this product about 2 weeks ago and I love it! It is way better than the Motorola monitor that I had and has way more features. I love how it lights up based upon the baby cries and I love the clarity of the picture. It's a great monitor and I would recommend it to anyone.
