I live in Cudahy WI, tons of hills and I don't think it effects the performance at all. I have an average speed of 16MPH with max of 14 up hill and 18 down hill. And that includes while hauling a 32 case of water and/or 24 case of soda as well as having every saddle bag and basket loaded with groceries and other items. I get about 4 miles of travel before the batteries start running low so I installed an inverter, 12v 12ah battery to power it, and 2 solar panels to charge the battery as it charges the scooter while at the store. Usually takes me about a half hour to an hour to shop and the store is about a mile and a half away so the battery is almost fully charged again by the time I get back to it.... I think. It's hard to say the charge indicator only has a high and low label with led lights; green for high and yellow for low. My charge light stays green with the inverter setup where as before the scooter would have the yellow light by the time I made it to the drive way and the performance would start dropping just as I got home. As a side note... when I first bought this the batteries it came with were faulty. I called the service center and emailed Razor. They reps were real nice and helpful. I got a new set of batteries for free, and the shipping was fast. No issues with the scooter since.

Loved this Scooter

Had for 3 years! Replaced tires once after 2 years. I'm over the weight limit and this still got me where I needed to go at top speed. I did upgrade the batteries to 12 Ah. Only issue was how much I had to remove and detach to replace rear tires and inner tubes.

Works great on flat surfaces. But it won't climb hills well. Downhill stopping is a big problem but I fixed it by installing a u brake on the front forks
Pros: Decent quality and range. Comfortable ride

I really loved it at first, but I've had some problems.

For the first month, I loved it! But now 2 months into use every day twice a day, 4 miles total, the battery only lasts half as long as it used to. It dies after riding 2 miles. Yes, I charge it as I'm supposed to. I feel every bump in the road, but other than that, I still love the thing. It's been my saving grace with transportation between work and home.
Pros: Easy to store, Efficient, FAST
Cons: Absolutely does not handle bumps, Short Battery Life
Cons: Either on or off at the very low end, Very touchy low end speed control, going slowly, could use larger diameter tires

Having some problems right out of the box

Bought scooters for me and wife to cruise around town. Having two scooters makes it very easy to compare and know when something is not right. The rear axle is warped on the one scooter and makes a clunking noise, but Razor is sending a replacement that I will have to install. In addition, the one charger is always showing a green light and after walking the one bike home we now realize it's because it doesn't work. I love these scooters but worried since even a nut to one of the seat springs feel off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for no carbon footprint but...

Hopefully the battery can be recycled in an appropriate way to uphold the no carbon footprint aspect. This is excellent and flat surfaces and maybe small inclines but definitely does not work for an adult weighing 200 up a hill.

The scooter came exactly as pictured, and for a great price! It’s got a great battery life, and the pneumatic tires make for a wonderfully smooth ride. The basket is quite large, and really helps with bags, backpacks, etc. The breaking is super smooth, too: you have full control over how quickly you stop. I do have one question: how waterproof is the scooter? Can I ride it in light rain, heavy rain, etc?
