It's a great Android phone with awesome battery life. But you should probably not take the phone underwater. I made absolutely sure all the seals were closed and took it into a shallow swimming pool to shoot a few photos. Without hours the phone was ruined. I suspect that either the seals were no good, or water leaked in through the lanyard hole. In either case - don't risk your $600 phone for a few underwater videos or photos. I consider the 'waterproof' feature to be an emergency, 'dropped my phone in the toilet' feature, not something you'd want to use on purpose.
