This phone is wonderful. The battery life is at the top of the list. I use my phone all day long. This includes around 3-5 hours of phone calls a day and a few hours using the internet. At the end of the day I usually have 35-50% battery left. It is fast and some of the tools like the Walkman are great to listen to music too. The camera is also great. It takes great pictures and there are some neat tools that come with it to modify and cleanup photos. I really loves this phone. I also added a 128GB Micro usb card to the phone to store all my photos and information. I had an I-Phone and changed to this phone and I am glad I did. It was cheaper and had better features and worked better than the I-Phone.
Great high quality phone. Didn't like the SIM card setup though. I thought the SIM card tray was a dummy one, threw it out and tried to insert my SIM card and had to use a pin and needle to get it out. I then ordered a new tray for it, seeing that you insert your SIM card into it. Besides that, great phone but the Playstation 4 remote play was overrated. The Xperia 3 can handle the graphics (played Bloodborne on it) but both the system and phone need to be connected to the internet AND they need to be bluetooth connected to each other [pretty lame in my book].
Upgraded from an iPhone and I'll never look back. Great screen and camera quality, phone has a solid form factor and design you'd expect from Sony. Haven't tried a Z3 Compact so I can't judge the difference but the larger screen is perfect for me.
Great phone which ticks almost all the boxes. Two day battery, check. Great camera, check. Premium feel, check. Awesome display, check. Fast navigation, check.
The only area where it falters is the OS. This thing would be awesome with vanilla Android. The updates to lollipop weren't as timely as I would have liked. Also, this thing has a ton of bloatware. It's not as bad as having third party apps, but the built in Sony apps are absolutely obtrusive. There's no way to uninstall these apps.
The custom UI is also holding back performance and work flow. After a few weeks apps seem to cause the phone to bog down. Menus are at times not intuitive because of visual alterations that change the way the menus behave from stock. At this point, every time I go home the OS redraws the launcher. Extremely annoying. Still not as annoying as Sense, Touchwiz, or Optimus UI skins on competing phones.
