great dish rack

This is so well designed. Really love the wine glass rack on it, too. The water doesn't puddle up on the bottom of the rack. Drains well. I'm really happy with my purchase and bought one to give to my son and daughter in law for Christmas.

Almost Perfect

We purchased this dish rack to replace the previous version, which was difficult to keep clean (too many nooks and cranies). This unit has a darker, smoother surface that drains down to a smooth drip pan and out to the sink. The "fingerprint proof" stainless seems to be better as well. The only issue we had was the seal between the stainless "surround" and the plastic base does not seal well. On the first unit we received, the seal had fallen out all together. This unit was returned for replacement (one of three solution options given to rectify the issue) and another was sent in its place. Although this units seal was better, it still did not completely seal the gap between the stainless and plastic. Instead of going through the process a second time, we just added a bead of silicone to the seal to improve it. I would recommend this unit, but the seal issue is a manufacturing flaw that could use some improvement. It would also improve the price to value ratio.

Flawed drain design

This is a very lovely, albeit expensive, dish drainer, but buyer beware of a major design limitation. Due to the placement of the drainage spout, you will be inherently limited to placing this drainer on the right side of your sink. (Of course, you could turn the drainer around and place it backwards, but for those with limited sink space, this won't work.) It's too bad SImpleHuman didn't design this drainer to be more flexible.

Ideal drainer

We purchased one of these for each of our kitchens. It holds everything we need to to hold, takes up a minimal amount of space, and is easy to clean. I wish that it wasn't quite so tall, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.

Just one issue

Really like the design and function. It is made well, but the bottom drip tray has (after 1year) begun to allow water onto the counter below. The screw cannot be tightened on the drain spout. This did not happen immediately

It was a gift for a young couple in their first home. They appear to like it. The bride uses it more often than the auto dishwasher.

The goblet drain tray doesn't drain. Any water collected from the goblets has to be wiped up or evaporated. The plastic feet don't fit the metal legs well. Otherwise, I like it.

Losing their design superiority.

This latest dish rack suggests cost savings gained over functionality. In past decade I have bought 5 of these (3 homes, 2 as gifts). 'Plate holder' changes - hold fewer plates, stack different. Removed fold-up tines, once ideal for bottles and small glasses. 'Cup holders' no longer flip out. Result cups or glasses both interfere with larger stacked plates and any underside indentation in glass or cup hold water > does not run-off. 'Bamboo knife block' eliminated. Why? Wider spacing of wires on plate holders makes standing small items more precarious. The simpler drip tray and drain slot, and grey plastic is an improvement. Before buying a 6th rack I will look some place else. i.e. quality of design is what set you apart. No longer.
