Just what we needed

I hesitated about spending so much on a trash can and worried that it would not be large enough. Now I’m glad I bought it. This design is sleek and compact; it fits perfectly next to our island. Having the dual compartments for recycling and trash makes separating our waste easier. We seem to recycle much more of our waste since the recycling compartment is right at our fingertips.
My only recommendation is to add a holder for replacement liners. There’s a hole in the back to retrieve the liners but no built in compartment for liner package.
Overall excellent purchase!

The 40L dual compartment butterfly can is everything I needed. It definitely fits in small kitchens. The design is perfect for out of the way spaces. The butterfly opening is brilliant. Stainless steel finish is elegant. Two things would make it ten stars- no touch opening and labels for trash and recycling

Never thought I'd say this about a trashcan, but I _Really_like this one. We've used their custom sized bags and regularly available bags without noticing much difference.

This is the nicest looking and best quality brand of trash/recycle cans you can buy. I have bought many SimpleHuman products from large to small and I’ve never regretted buying one of them. Well worth the investment in my book.

We are pleased with this can. We have limited space, and this can fits perfectly. The butterfly opening is a great idea; easy to get to both bins. Bins are easy to remove, and of course the Simplehuman liners are the only way to go. Would highly recommend Simplehuman for the quality, performance and outstanding customer service.
