Best phone ever! I love how fast you text on the keyboard, yet still have a full working touch screen like the iPhone! I really love it! It has amazingly fast internet connection and alot of memory, even without a memory card. Good job LG!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great upgrade

I recently picked up this phone to upgrade from my old one. I thought I'd try something with a touch-screen and so far it's great. This is my first touch-screen phone and I'm still getting used to that feature, but it's great. The touch-screen is so easy to use, that the slide out qwerty keyboard almost seems like a bonus. That and the 2.0 megapixel camera with a flash makes taking pictures and videos better and easier. Great phone!

A great upgrade!

I purchased this phone back in Dec. as an upgrade through Wirefly and I love it. I am a senior citizen and didn't know what to expect when I purchased this phone, but now that I have had it for a couple of weeks and have had time to get aquainted with it, I find it very user friendly. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a first phone or a upgrade phone.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

Love the Phone When It Works
on March 3, 2010

I love this phone when it works, but have had lots of problems with it freezing up, changing screens randomly, and turning itself off randomly. I chose this model because I mostly use a cell phone for texting and it is great for that. I first got it 6 months ago and have had it replaced 3 times. Each time it would work for a few weeks and then would malfunction. I don't understand why the quality is so poor.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LG Xenon - Touch What?
on February 28, 2010

well, my lg shine's charger unit wouldn't reconize, so i had to get a new phone. thus i got a lg xenon. it was different to get used to. but overall i liked it. the button setup was amazing. but, the touching features was a no-go. it was difficult to get used to, and was eventually the downfall of my phone. i was in a call, and recieved a text, so i went to check it, and my touch stoped working. no damage done to the phone, it just stoped working. so my 100+ texts i recieved cannot be checked until i get my next replacement phone, which happens to be the same one. i didnt exspect to have this problem yet, seeing how i only had the phone since before the new year. i cant access anything but my contact list, so i can only call and recieve calls. BUMMER! on side note, the battery, was to short of a life seeing how its a texting phone. in my opinion, lg should bring back the oringinal shines (black, red, silver). they were 5/5 in my opinion.
Pros: Style/Design
Cons: Value, Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i got this phone in february and it freezes on me all the time when i am in the middle of texting. i have sent it away to get fixed 4 times in the last two months and it's done nothing. it still freezes all the time. like up to 10 times a day and they only way to reboot it is by taking out the battery and putting it back in. very unimpressed.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice but a few problems
on April 24, 2011

My LG Xenon gr500 is pretty good. But the screen can be extremely prone to scratches which is especially bad since it's a touchscreen. The battery life can get pretty low after a day or two. The QWERTY keypad is excellent but I just wish it can control the screen along with your own hands. It wasn't a problem before, but now the screen is not registering my touch correctly. It went from perfect to slightly off to end-to-end off and now frozen. I'm now getting a new phone. Touchscreen, LG. but if that one is also bad, I will buy from another product of phones. Overall this phone is OK.
