Excellent quality and low running costs

Epson WP-4540 is Fantastic

The Epson 4540 is a great allrounder it prints,scans,copies and faxes. If you have to print of large documents its excellent it holds more than 500 sheets of A4 paper so no filling up paper trays all the time. I was very surprised at the quality of photos I thought you would have to buy a more photo specific printer to print photos as good a these.
The automatic document feeder (adf) is brilliant when copying,scanning or faxing. I bought new ink cartridges thinking the ones that came with the printer would not last that long but i have not had to change them. I have printed or copied more than 2000 pages including photos, labels, text documents etc and the printer program is still saying the cartridges are more than half full. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Epson WP4540 to anyone it is by far the best printer i have ever owned.

Robust and great quality

I had my original WP-4540 (yes, I have a second one now) for 18 months and it worked faultlessly. Brilliant speed and quality, and I especially liked the scan feature because it was so quick and easy to use. Rate of ink usage was pretty good and the unit lived up to the promotional hype from the store. I was very surprised and disappointed that it developed a fault with ink delivery only a week ago and the unit was depositing large amounts of yellow ink over my pages for no apparent reason. Costly, messy and inconvenient. I contacted Epson by email and they responded promptly (in early January) and made arrangement to replace the printer with a new unit, which is now in place and operating. Yes, the fault was unfortunate but the service from Epson was exemplary.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good features and value

WP4540 offerred good features (multiple paper trays, rear feed, WiFi, duplex, running costs appear good) to replace a small wireless laser and inkjet. Print output is great and reasonably fast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am unable to comment much at present having only just purchased the printer but I have previously owned Epson printers and always been happy with them so hoping this one is up to the standard I am used to

simplicity with excellent document finish

I am completely satisfied with my selection. The sales person's information matched the reviews that I had read.
Instructions were clear and so easy to set up. The print has been clear and sharp and photographic quality is excellent.
Warranty offer for onsite repair is a bonus - thank you.
The website has excellent features to enhance my product knowledge and provides expert advice obviously.
I am still to enter regular fax numbers in me epson but know this will be an easy task given the quality to date.
Colour and style of machine looks pleasing to eye in office.

This printer has made my life easier. As a small home based business replacing my old printer was the best thing I have done. I am saving money on ink and going to other places to have my printing done.
