Fantastic product

I bought this machine for home use since there are three computer users at home who all need printing capabilities. It's by far the best printer I've ever used. It prints almost as fast as a laser printer and is quite quiet too. Fax works flawlessly and so does duplex printing. Setup was breeze through wifi. Though a USB cable is recommended, it is by no means necessary.
If you're thinking about purchasing this product, don't hesitate. I was also able to buy this at quite the discount too!
The 4/5 star rating is due to only 1 big box office supply store carrying the ink for this machine (other than Epson online store). I assume it is because the printer is relatively brand new. So buyer beware regarding ink costs. I've checked the other big box electronic shops and they do not carry the ink required for this machine. I live in Canada if that helps anyone gain context on the stores I'm referring to.

Epson WP-4540

Epson WP-4540 replaced my older printer. It works great, but I spent weeks learning I lacked the application software to scan documents. This application software was easy to find on Epson's website, but the application was around 90 Mb. Now that my WP-4540 works, I expect to keep it for years.

I work from home and I need a dependable printer. I am very pleased with the WP 4540.
Recently, I had to install the wireless connection of the WP 4540 to my home network. I was also extremely satisfied with the technical support I received and the technical support tools available.
I highly recommend the Epson WP 4540. It is a great printer and the support is great!!!

Printer will not recognize my wireless network, will not work on an ethernet network, will only work by direct connection with USB cable after 5 fruitless hours of install/uninstall I have given up and returned it to the store.

Packing error - cost me 2 hours of time

No instructions or CD/DVD so I spent all that time downloading PDFs and Drivers etc. I needed to be printing - not downloading. I am fairly tech comfortable, but I feel sorry for those who might not be. Someone needs to double check prior to sealing the package. Bet I am not the only one with this issue.
