This is the best printer we have had yet at the club. After many cheap substitutes, we finally spent the money for a real All-in-One. What is nice is the ease with which even a technology challenged person can operate the 4540. We fax, copy, and print every day we are open and this unit is a pleasure to use. Epson knows the secret,----Keep it simple, and build a quality product.

I recently purchased the Epson Workforce Pro WP4540 all in one printer and the WI FI set up for my main computer was easy and simple. The print quality is amazing, however I tried to set up my wifes' laptop on wireless and it will not take for some reason. I tried exactly the same way I set up my desktop computer but it does not accept the wireless connection. I will try again and hope it works. It says on the box that you can print from your smartphone however the booklet says nothing about how to do that. Strange they would make a comment on the box but say nothing inside. So that is not a puzzle Iwill have to try and figure out. Wish they gave better instructions on what they say can be done with printer. I like it do not get me wrong however it leaves a few things left untold.

So-So Printer

Thank you for allowing me to review this printer. I am a Real Estate agent who needs lots of marketing material and thought buying this printer would help. Unfortunately, the best quality is for black and white.
When I first bought the color was calibrated to print out beautiful pictures, but when I had to replace the color cartridges, it has not printed out a good solid color picture. I have followed each instruction but nothing works. I am ready to trash this printer for something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson has got the best printers from what I have found! Very dependable. Maybe a little expensive for the ink, but in the long run its top of the line!

Worst printer Epson

I'm from Latin America, I have always purchased printers epson because they seem of excellent quality, I saw this printer the Epson WP-4540 and go for it to send to Bogota Colombia for one of my companies, but only to month and a half of use the color yellow began to fail, and after many head cleaning and other operations end up losing the other colors, a total waste of money, then I find that it is a manufacturing fault and that of course does not cover here in Colombia. Too bad for epson not warn of such failure. totally Disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great printer, but.......

After the first 3,000 pages or so, the cyan print head has become clogged and no matter how many times I attempt to clean the print head, it won't clean itself. I am assuming it has a bad print head. Otherwise great performance, fast, quality is acceptable for almost anything except photo printing. I have used this for printing company fliers and mailings and it works great for that on heavier 28 lb paper. I recommend this printer as a color laser alternative. I am working on getting a warranty replacement for the bad print head.
