[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KDTE334DSSO in April of 2014. We bought it as part of a 4 piece Kitchen Aid Architect Series set. We also bought the 48 month extended warranty. After just over two years, the top rack of the dishwasher failed. The top rack will not slide out and we've found metal ball bearings in the dishwasher. Turns out this type of repair is not covered by the extended warranty and the estimate for parts & labor is almost half the cost of the dishwasher. Having to pay that much to repair a 2 yr. old dishwasher with an extended warranty is outrageous! This is not at all what I would expect from Kitchen Aid brand. And to add to the frustration, the repair parts are back ordered. That tells me that I'm not the only one with top rack problems! I'm very disappointed with this purchase! A beautiful, quiet dishwasher is only a great consumer item if it stands the test of time. Two years would be pitiful for even a low end dishwasher, which this is not priced as! I would not recommend this appliance!!

We had it serviced from the company from which we purchased and had it installed. We were told the water is supposed to be there.
Don't even try to get a real person on the phone. I tried five times and after the long wait time I was disconnected twice. Thought I'd try live chat and that has been disabled.
I'd expect better customer service for the price we paid for this dishwasher.
