Greatly disappointing

This is the third Kitchenaid dishwasher that I have owned. I would like to say that I am happy but, this one leaves so much to be desired that I wish I had my old one back! The loading is difficult and I can no longer put as many dishes in this configuration. I hate that I have to remove the silverware by handling the end you put in your mouth. The cycle length is just ridiculously long and their is always a little water in the machine at the end of the cycle. On several occasions unless I throughlly wash the dishes first, there is some food on the dishes.
The best feature is the absolute silence of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I decided to try the kitchenaid based on the reviews and they are made in America. The architect series ll dishwasher has been everything I wanted! I have to look at the light to check if it's on, it's so quite!

Overall, a very solid machine which super quiet operation, decent performance (I'd like the dishes to be drier at the end of the cycle), and a reason set of features (there are a few missing) but don't sell 'quiet' short.

We've had the dishwasher about 6 weeks now. It fits more dishes than any other we have had. It is practically silent as it cleans our dishes better than any other. So glad we bought Kitchenaid!

So Quiet and So Clean

Although, at first, I was disappointed that this model did not have a third shelf, I really like how quiet it operates and how clean the contents are...so much quieter and cleaner results than my former dishwasher, which I had used without a single service call for 22 years, used to give me. I have been using the Pro features exclusively with the Cascade recommendations which might account for part of sparkling silverware and scum less dishes. However, the multiple sources for the spraying is probably the main reason for the great results. As for the third rack, the baskets allow for whatever I need...so no big deal anymore for me, and I really like the adjustable upper shelf and the adjustable prongs. Moreover, the adjustable silverware basket is ingenious designing.
