Considered buying a Bosch but decided on the KitchenAid instead based on its reputation, 42 Decibel rating, and more extensive wash and heat dry options. It is just as quiet as a more expensive Bosch and it's stainless steel tub and rack construction seem to be of higher quality. Unlike the Bosch models we looked at, the KitchenAid racks glide easily and do not fall out of their track. The height of the upper rack is adjustable, the controls are easy to operate, and with the use of a rinsing agent, the dishes come out sparkling. We have an open floor plan in our house so we needed a quiet dishwasher. This KitchenAid product (Model KDTE404DSS) fits the bill and then some. We are very pleased.

Bought this in November before we remodeled the kitchen. It looks works and looks awesome. It is so quiet you cannot even tell if it is running. All the extra built in features were an extra bonus we didn't think about when we bought it. The racks roll in and out with ease. The removable silverware basket keeps silverware in place when it is running. Well thought out configuration for loading, adding detergent & unloading dishes.

It was time to replace our old Kitchenaid dishwasher. We loved it & looked to buy the brand again. It always takes awhile to learn how to load a new dishwasher. I'm slowly figuring it out. This new dishwasher is super quiet & does a great job of cleaning the dishes.
