I thought my old machine was quiet. I can't even tell when this one is running. This is exactly what I needed to replace my previous unit which lasted 12 years. It was easy to install and runs like a charm. My wife said she needs to get used to the silverware basket which just has slots for individual utensils vs. large openings but I'm sure she will do so.

Replaced a 21 year old Kitchen Aid with this. Very pleased with noise level and operation. Dishes are consistently spotless. Concern was lower wash arm which did not spin freely. Why an engineer would design it to only spin freely when the water pressure raised it totally baffles me. As a tool and die designer I would reject that concept at any level in the design process.

You'll have to be virtually silent to know if this dishwasher is even running, that's how quiet it is! Clean dishes and silent running, those are my priorities in a dishwasher.

We were looking for a quiet dishwasher. This one is listed at 42db and that seems about right. Installation was a little complicated due to new type of water hose connection setup. Other than that, very nice.
