This phone surpassed my expectations. Its screen is very large and has a vivid picture. Its blindingly fast. The only con for me was that it doesnt have a port to connect the phone to my tv with an HDMI cable. Other than that, this phone blows my old iPhone 4G away.
Very responsive and fast, and so far excellent battery life. Love the size and weight. Really like being able to control BT, GPS, WiFi, 4G, and Sound with slide-down on homescreen.
Best device hand's down, though I wish there were a dedicated camera button. Could have a higher res, but the super AMOLED makes up for that. The colors are just beautiful on this display. I find myself mesmerized by the beauty of it. The blacks are especially rich.
I had the Samsung Galaxy S (Vibrant) with T-Mobile and I loved that phone. Later on I switched to Sprint and was able to get the Galaxy S II. This phone is the fastest phone I have ever used. Saying this, I am a avid user of phones. Had a few other dual core phones like the LG G2X and the HTC Sensation 4G. These phones can't even compare performance wise and speed wise. The screen is also better than the two. I really think the next phone I am going to get will be another Samsung phone. Once thing I am in the middle about is how the phone feels cheap. I have had an iPhone 4 that feels like a high dollar phone, but for some reason this phone feels like that kid you pick last on your kickball team. This phone is the best phone I used! I can't wait for Ice Cream Sandwich on this phone!
Absolutely the best cell phone I have ever owned !

Had an Instinct S30, which was okay but needed replacing. I took a long time deciding which phone was the best as I wanted something that had lots of great, easy to use features, and that I could keep for a relatively long time. Went back and forth between Galaxy S II Epic 4g touch. HTC Evo's and the I-phone. Talked to a ton of people, went to the Sprint store and played with 2 of those phones. Read many online reviews and articles about it's features...and then I pulled the plug and bought the Galaxy S II. I saw the online manual was couple hundred pages long and thought it would be difficult to learn. It was exactly the opposite - could use it within 10 minutes of opening the box, and another day learning all the intricacies of what this phone does. I just LOVE IT. It's light, does everything, and makes my life a lot easier. Thanks Samsung - as always you come through with good, reliable products. My 3 large flat screen LED and LCD TV sets and washing machine are also superb. QUALITY products with no hassles.
Finally a Android that rose up to take a bite out of the apple.

large screen, optional kick stand cover and snazzy touchwiz interface, some good features that were found on the evo except it the evo had htc sense. Music app with controls on the lock screen app interface layout and smooth transition and animation, touchwiz widgets and motion sensors make it a fun phone to play with and of course the fact that it is sporting android 2.3 and hopefully ice cream sandwich when it get's released. great phone
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, extra features, lock screen music app controls, awesome camera
Cons: battery life could be better but not a huge factor, speaker could be louder
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone is GREAT! If you want a fast, well put-together phone with good 4G and a huge, bright screen, then this phone is for you.
Cons: couple connection hiccups with 4g/3g switchover
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am happy about everything except how many clicks and taps things take. And...like other samsung phones...things are not in proximity...such as I create a text message and then have to reach OVER the top of the keypad to hit SEND!
