have had my new epic for 1 week and I put a phone thru its paces. This phone is nothing short of fantastic!!!! speed, design, ease of use it puts an I phone 4s to shame so if all you want to do is carry a status symbol get the apple. If you want a phone that does all you need it to do in a lighting fast pace then invest in this phone. You will not be sorry!!!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: hard to find an otterbox to fit it

i have converted several iphone users and wanters over to this phone. even had a tab customer decide this was better suited to what they wanted.

Better than Epic4G

Rear cover needs better grip. Being a power user , battery doesn't last a day for me. Getting an extended battery. The camera has no shutter silence. Funny thing my friends S2 on Tmobile has that option. Why not on Sprint version? Without rooting (for now) I use headphones or a cut off an unused jack. It still beeps softly but you can barely hear the shutter sound. Other than that it's a good phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: needs more volume, no shutter silence

Awesome phone!!

I have had this phone for four months now, and switched to it from the I Phone. The ease of use is outstanding, not to mention that almost ANYTHING can be transferred from a computer to the phone - which can't be done with, shall I say, OTHER phones (you know who you are). The Samsung name speaks for itself: I have had numerous Samsung phones over the past 12 years, and ALL of them have been a cut above the rest, but this one takes the cake by far!! Between my memory card and internal phone memory I have 48 gigs - this holds TONS of stuff.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use, compatible with any music and most picture/videos
Cons: absolutely no cons whatsoever!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the phone. The screen is simply amazing. Love how you can customize it and the universal in-box for mail, text messages, and FaceBook - the only thing missing is integrated Instant Messaging.
Battery life is much improved from the Epic 4G. I can go through most of the day without having to worry about charging.
There are a few things that would improve it - If you use screen lock, you loose ability to see battery charge level on home screen.
Missing ability to sync to media card from Kies.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, customization, battery life, camera
Cons: slippery, media sync software doesn't sync to media card, didn't come with headphone like epic 4g

Great phone at a decent price. Outstanding performance, display, etc. The only un-positive comment is the size of the device. It requires 2-hands to operate, otherwise it could easily be dropped.
Battery life isn't bad either. It's my first non-HTC Android phone, and I would never go back!
