Replaced DHG601DUC with DHG602DUC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit failed after 5 years. Repair shops unable to get parts. Decided to try to replace with DHG602DUC (blower for more recent Bosch downdrafts). Removed existing blower using torx screwdriver (see photo). Purchased DHG602DUC (see photo for comparison). Drilled holes and mounted new blower. Connected duct work. Wired new blower to old blower plug. Works great. Challenging but satisfying repair to a critical kitchen appliance. Good luck.

Replaced 4 times in two years

I bought the downdraft fan and assembly in 2016 and it has failed 4 times calling for extremely expensive repairs. Bad product, avoid if possible.

Blower dead after only 4 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a cooktop plus this downdraft and blower with professional installation just four years ago. The blower now doesn't work and needs to be replaced. We made our purchase decision based on the Bosch reputation, so this is very disappointing and unacceptable. We may choose to not buy Bosch appliances in the future.

It does it's job....barely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am DISAPPOINTED in this product because it seems as though the venting power is insufficient. When frying the lights above STILL get very greasy. If you feel the pop up vent you barely feel the air suctioning in. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the effectiveness of this product!!!!
