This laptop has it all features, performance, design, and value. It excells in everything and I have no complaints as far as what it offers. It boots fast because it has the latest and greatest in Intel mobile processor. Great mid-range graphics for gaming, although I don't use it for gaming it's great for video and photo editing. It's got a slick design similar to the Apple type; metallic not plastic.
The only two things that I do have an issue with is the hdd has a minor hickup with partitions... probably a thrid party issue. But as long as there is just one OS installed in the system you won't even notice. And, getting used to the sensitivity of the mouse pad is another....but that's probably my problem. :-)
You won't regret getting this system. Oh yeah and the battery last a very long time... more than those HP, DELL, & Toshiba systems.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, gaming capable, long battery life
I absolutely love Samsung. This is the best computer that I have ever had. I lover the look, color, weight, and that it is metallic and strong, durable.
I was such a huge fan of the QX410 that I naturally upgraded to the series 7 being sold on what was on paper. Boy was I in for a treat! - The battery is NO WHERE NEAR 8 hours... more like 4 hours or 5 hours light browsing. - After 40% battery the wireless will start to act funky cutting in and out. (and yes I did put the option on maximum wireless performance while on battery.) -I wish they didn't make a watered down version. This computer hangs more than my old desktop from 7 years ago. - Despite being core i7 it is slower than the i5 QX410.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, hangs, battery life
Not sure why C drive is initially sized at 50GB....I believe this will cause problems down the road and I'm not sure everyone will be comfortable extending.....only thing that I am disappointed with
I've had this laptop for just one day. I have enjoyed the simplicity and am impressed with the design. It definitely has more features than I need, but look forwarding to exploring them. I would recommend this computer at the moment.
I chose this laptop because I needed a laptop for a new job faster than ordering a custom one from the big 3. The target OS was Win7Pro 32bit for the industrial apps I would be working with & Out of all the PCs available at the store, this one had: the stiffest main body and the least torsional flexible hinge assembly. Also, all the i/o connections are on the left side which is important since since there is no docking station option. The mistake was thinking the Geek Squad could go from Home premium 64bit to Pro32bit in any reasonable amount of time. Finding Drivers for all the components from Samsung was a non starter so they had to go the the individual device mfgs to make it happen...28hours after I I set it on their desk. Now that its all set-up I'm very pleased with everything except I still can't quite get used the touchpad.
