[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how light weight and portable this folding lantern is. It will be a great addition to our emergency kit. It’s also got a nightlight function which my kids really like. You do need D size batteries for this to operate.

Convenient and simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I thought it was rechargeable not sure why but when I received it I was a bit disappointed that I needed 4 D batteries. That took me couple days to try it because I was out of D batteries lol. I liked how simple it was to open and install batteries, VERY simple. Loved that. The light has 3 settings and is very useful for night light except for batteries not lasting. The medium light is great for closet searching or low lit areas. And the bright setting is great to light a large room if lights go out or for night camping or s late night outside activity. I love the lightweight feel and the handle is very comfortable and you can slightly open it ti firmly stand on it's own. I will definitely get alot of use from it. Thumbs up except the battery part. Rechargeable would be perfect.

Daylight at Night!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On my initial feeling of the Energizer Weather Ready Lantern I thought it was not very well made the plastic was thin and won’t last very long.
However once I placed the batteries in the compartment and turned the lantern on I was very surprised to see the light output. It was easy to unlock and insert batteries. My husband and I look the lantern outside, we live in the mountains there are no streetlights, to see the distance of light and we were both amazed. We kept the lantern closed but then once it was unfolded it was like daylight. The little nightlight feature just added to the dynamics of the lantern. We do get a lot of rain here so the Water Resistant feature will be a benefit. The red and white color makes it easy to see, the handle was smooth and made it easy to carry. The Energizer WeatheReady Lantern will be used as an emergency lantern, kept next to the door for future use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an interesting lantern. I'm not too impressed with the design, which is pretty bulky and ugly. But it does put out good light and is weatherproof.

Versatile Lantern

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lantern takes 4 D batteries so it's a little heavy, but the capability for it to fold out makes versatile. Light (highest option) is very bright- lights up entire dark room. Will be great during hurricanes/power outages
