Great Picture-terrible audio

the picture is outstanding, but the sound does not "fit" the picture. Sound as if the audio is coming from a transitor radio.Really needs to be improved.
Menu text is very hard to see from a distance.

Speakers were really bad sound and then broke

When I purchased the tv three years ago the left speaker stopped working within a few months. I had thrown the box away so I was unable to return it.
Now the right speaker went out last night so the tv is only picture. I went to the guide and the troubleshooter area really was no help. Will not be purchasing sharp again
