There were some issues with the defrosting panel but the design was altered to fix the problem. We had issues with not shutting the freezer properly causing frost and eventually a service call to fix it. Compressor gave out this year but it is under warranty so that was repaired. Would not buy a new LG because of linear compressor. Other machines are now considered better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator is 10 years old and we have had it serviced 10 times. Lost thousands of dollars in spoiled food over the years. Ice maker jams and drips water, unit freezes up, freezer door doesn’t alert you when it’s left open, food falls behind freezer door and prevents it from closing, cracked shelves and very easy to dent stainless panels. Now, it is completely broken and needs replaced. I am not spending another dollar on this unit. Buyer beware!

The front piece had to be replaced and ice accumulated on the bottom and then flooded my kitchen. I had to replace it before it was 5 years old.
