Great coverage even on old wood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a 1911 farm house and have been embarking on a series of renovations over the past several years. 2018 became the year of the paint job. I didn’t undertake this lightly as the house is over 3000 sq ft three stories high plus a basement and much of the original paint was pealing. For the job I purchased four versions of Behr from Home Depot, the majority of which was Premium Plus Exterior Satin in September Morning (a pale butter yellow). The others were a gloss white for the trim, gloss blue for the doors, and gray elastomeric paint for the masonry.
Back to the satin Premium Plus. I had pressure washed, scraped and sanded much of the old paint off but due to moisture and humidity I was concerned about the surface area of the old wood. It would have been impossible to remove all the old paint entirely. After a brief trial with a sprayer (too many windows to be time effecient) I went with a 4” brush, a 2 1/2” angled brush and a good playlist. I found the coverage and color to be excellent. I was highly satisfied with with how the paint applied and the consistency of color. Behr describes this paint as one coat coverage and it covered well and seemed to “seal” any cracks in the wood. I however, chose to apply two coats as I REALLY do not want to go through this process again any time in the near future.
Now, on to new porches...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Exterior Paint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to paint the metal siding on a 1950's house. It went on easily, covered well, made the house look fantastic!! Would highly recommend as easy to apply, durable.

AWESOME PAINT!

We recently purchased two different kinds of paints to cover our shed. One was another brand but the wrong color, so we took it back and purchased Behr in a better color. We are SO impressed by the way the Behr paint compares to the other brand. It goes on so much better, the color is so much truer, and it looks awesome. We are now Behr fans! We will never buy another brand!

Love this paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am female and do all my painting by myself. I always use Behr paint and love the paint with the primer already added. That saves me a step. I tried another brand to paint over blue but even using primer first, it didn't cover. I went to Home Depot and had them mix the same color. The Behr covered the other 3 walls with one coat. I highly recommend Behr.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sprayed and rolled two coats on top of a coat of Gripper primer, over bare concrete stucco. Looks rich and beautiful and makes the house bright and clean!

% gallons works awesome with airless paint sprayer
