Knew it was awesome, BUT...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That old saying, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone," sums up my latest experience with Behr paints, or rather, without them. We've used Behr exclusively for all our extensive remodeling, both inside and out for years and I guess you could say, started taking the quality for granted. When tasked with painting the shutters on my mom's new home, I thought I would save a few bucks #it was for her, not me, so why not?# and bought the other brand that Home Depot carries #it starts with a "G" and ends in "lidden"#. Wow, what a lesson. First thing, I dipped my brush in and immediately had a giant mess all over her driveway. The paint ran off as if it were water and, it covered about as well. It took THREE coats to get a uniform finish. In the end, what a mistake. There was no time or money saved. With Behr, we always get beautiful coverage with one coat and it doesn't drip or run. NEVER AGAIN! Save yourself time and money. Behr truly covers in one coat. #We always prime and use two coats, but it is not necessary.# It's an excellent consistency that doesn't drip or run and in our harsh coastal environment, it has held up amazingly well without fading or peeling.

Paint is great; color cards are not

I purchased Behr paint for the exterior of our home. I chose a great color--and after the first can was painted, it looked like a yellow mustard,not the green I'd chosen. So, I took it back to the store and got exactly the color I wanted in the first place. BUT, that too turned out looking like mustard, only darker. This time I gave up and painted the entire house. Now we look like a big jar of mustard laying on its side (ranch style house)! The coverage was great. The quality was great. But, the COLOR is INTOLERABLE--nothing at all like the paint card!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Paint Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this paint after reading Consumer Reports and saw it's high rating, then comparing it to other name brand paints. We painted my wood fence and it is beautiful. It was in bad shape but now looks brand new. The paint covered very well and went on smoothly. I love the Satin grade for the slight sheen it has. We used the color Polar Bear, white, by Behr, for the fence and plan to use the same color on the eaves and trim of the house which we are preparing to paint. I am looking for a blue color for the house and will definitely use Behr, maybe the Premium Plus Ultra. I know my house will look wonderful! Thanks for a great product.

Fantastic coverage and durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this last Spring to paint a repurposed church pew as an outdoor bench. Bench has sat outside in the elements all summer, fall, winter and spring and still looks fabulous! I am going to be using this for all my non spray paint outdoor painting from now on.

Great Long Lasting Product

Ten years ago, I painted my steel siding which was a pea green. I used the Behr Primer and this product. It took one coat of primer and two coats of paint, but it turned out beautifully. Now, after have some renovation work done of the front of the house and residing of my garage, I had to repaint the entire house and garage. As I was painting, I noticed that the original paint job on the house had held up wonderfully with only a fading of the color; no peeling or chipping of the paint. I only needed one coat to brighten up the house. I also only use Behr on the inside.

Behr PREMIUM PLUS Exterior Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always buy Behr paint for my home projects. The coverage beats every other paint I've tried and the colors are awesome!!! I love Behr paint and can't wait to start another project. I chose Behr PREMIUM PLUS exterior paint in SAFFRON STRANDS tint and what a fantastic color this is. Yes, I used this INSIDE instead of outside. This photo doesn't really do justice to the brilliance of the color. It's really very bold and bright, the perfect color to brighten up my dining room. I LOVE IT!!!

Garden decorations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this paint in at least 25 colors in the 8 ounce sample size, I paint my garden decorations with it. Nothing seems to dull the paint. I live in Pennsylvania, hard winters, statues stay out all year. I have been using Behr for 7 years now and haven't had to repaint, the colors stay vibrant and my frogs and such look great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
