GE 36" Cooktop

I purchased to GE 36" Profile Series Cooktop because I had a earlier generation version that had served me well for many many years. So, going with a newer version was a no brainer. I remember thinking when I bought the first one, how easy it would be to clean and maintain. This edition is much easier. Also, I like that the knobs light up when they are on. This is a safety feature as well as making it easier to see the knob position.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only problem are the grates. for a small 76 year old woman, they are a little too heavy. The product was purchased via computer, not physically touched before instsllation.

My First Gas Stove

After 40 years of marriage, we finally got a gas stove. We love it. Turn it on and cook. No waiting necessary for things to heat up. Easy to use and has good safety features.

Only had it for ten days,but I like the heavy Grates,the safety knob to keep children from turning burners on, I really like the lit knobs, I appreciate the propane conversion kit that was included,

Does the job very nicely. Various size heads allow for different diameter pot sizes saving fuel and cookware. Childproof lock a very handy extra.

I talked to my brother who installed a very expensive, different brand natural gas stove top, and told me about the difficulties, such as it not doing well on simmer, and the front taking up the main area of the stove. Also his lacked a variety of sizes of burners. The GE has no problem simmering. I left ham hocks on for eight hours, and they simmered perfectly. There are different sizes of burners too, and even though an installer suggested it might be a problem, it has not. I'm really satisfied.
