Excellent Value

I looked at a number of alternatives by other manufacturers before settling on the Cafe. Money was not a major consideration, and I could have spent more on others. Had I done so, it would have been for the panache associated with other mabufacturers, as the Cafe performs as well, if not better, than all others. I've read the complaints about oven noise, and frankly don't share those views. All convection ovens make some noise, and I don't find the Cafe's to be any worse than others. The overall performance and versatility can't be matched. "Warming Oven" is a misnomer, as the fact that it can be set as high as 400 allows it to be used as a second oven. My only complaint is that it scratches like crazy no matter how careful you are.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not what I was hoping for

I bought this oven hoping to have a useable bottom cooking drawer. It is only good for use as a warmer
In addition to being noisy, the fan blows out the burners on one side and makes it difficult to cook meals using both the burners and the oven. The technician was unable to help solve this problem

Oven fan noise is unbearable

We just renovated our kitchen, had a GE profile which was half the price of this oven and we loved it for 9 years, figured how could we go wrong with another GE oven. The fan runs throughout the cooking cycle (and we are not talking convection mode) and then about 20 minutes after, it is absolutely terrible, it is as annoying as a running toilet. It has ruined my love of cooking, we waited many years for a new kitchen and now we face the hassle of a return and finding a stove that will fit as well with our new countertop which was custom cut for the Cafe stove. We do have a repair scheduled Jan 9th, if it is fixed I will update.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excessive oven fan noise

Unless the oven fan noise is corrected I would not recommend this range. Noise level is totally unacceptable. Stove top is great and like the baking drawer, but the oven fan noise is awful.

Very nice appearance, Good even heat, easy to clean. No major problems .customer service is excellent, nice features. Good cast iron grates. the cast iron over the burners did chip up some but that is not a big problem. can get new ones easy from ge. Very pleased with accuracy of heating temperature - both oven and stove top.. go ge, good one.

I was disappointed with the burners. Small burner is not strong enough to boil water. Medium burner takes for ever to boil water. Larger burners are to big for smaller pots although they do kick out pretty good heat for larger pans. I was very disappointed in the convection oven as well! I like to bake, but it takes much longer to bake ..ie.... cookies
I do like the look of the stove it self but scratches pretty easy. Warming drawer is nice but rarely gets used!
