to "professional" to be useful in the home

It looks great but the rear burners are too weak to be useful and the front burners are too large to be used with smaller pots and pans. I cannot use my espresso pot on this stove and had to buy a separate electric model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great functionality and appearance

This is the second time that we have bought this range. We moved and the kitchen in the new house had a builder quality range. My wife missed all of the features of this range especially the baking drawer, powerful burners, and self cleaning aspect.

Great Features / Performance, but Quality Concerns

This range performs very well - the power burners and low simmer are excellent, as is the oval center burner / griddle. Oven is slower to heat up than previous GE oven, but still very good. Range was delivered with a burned-out oven light which GE quickly repaired, but it burned out again!.
