Cooling Fans

I would not recommend this product, because it has cooling fans that come on once the oven is turned on that are extremely loud and disrupting. The fans may run up to 1 1/2 hour after the oven is turned off which is unheard of. Why purchase a quiet oven hood when you still have cooling fans within the oven to deal with?

The knobs are broken one by one

I bought the GE Cafe gas range in 2009. Within two years, the knob starts to crack. Right now, out of the 6 knobs, all are cracked, two are totally unusable, two are off alignment, but can still use, the other two are the least used and I rarely use them. I like the range, but hate the knobs.

Fan is very loud

Stove looks good. Works well. But the fan noise is too loud. We have a small open concept house and the fan comes on anytime the oven reaches 350 degrees. It is very loud and annoying. Buy another stove if you have a small open concept home.

I bought this after using a Caloric stove my other had bought 40 years ago! It takes a little getting used to as the broiler only has Hi and Low, which I was not used to. Also it only cme in Stainless Steel- another newbie for me. Other than that, I reallly enjoy cooking and baking with this appliance. No more adjustingthe tem. upwards to compensate for a wonky oven door!

First one bought had to be returned the shelves were shoved in backward and couldn't be removed at all without damaging the oven, the exchanged arrived and we bought this oven expecting it to be set for Propane, had to pay extra with certified electrician to get orifice switched to convert to Propane, level of flames still not even in bottom of oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the features. Especially the center burner

I am very happy with all the features on this range. The only problem I have is the burner grates are so rough that they easily scratch the stove top. Have been so careful removing them but still ended up with scratches. Don' t know how I will get the scratches out of the stainless. Also, the bottom oven heats very slowly.

Great oven and stove

We have this stove for about 4 months now. It is wonderful! Cooks and bakes very well. Stove top is very easy to clean, I just use warm soapy dish soap on the stainless steel to clean, then polish with a water based polish for stainless steel. I do this once a a week to keep it looking like new. As for the cooking grids, they are cast iron, so I just use a wet sponge. But at times need to use a tooth brush if more cleaning is required.
As for the performance of this oven and stove, it's top notch. We have made many things using both stove top and ovens. We don't eat out, so we use this everyday. We have made roasts, homemade pizza, lasagna, and baked goods, all come out perfectly cooked, and evenly heated. The bottom oven is great for dinner rolls, french fries, or frozen pizza, yes it does take a little bit of practice getting things in and out, but once you get the hang of it, it's great. Also love that I don't have to use my big oven for smaller items.
I have not used the griddle yet, so I cannot comment on that option, but if it is anything like the rest of this appliance, I'm sure I'll love it!

I have come to like this stove but there are two things that are bothersome. The touch pad control is so sensitive that the oven often gets turned off by mistake..especially when I am busy cooking and think the oven contents are baking on schedule. This seems to always happen when I am under time pressure and it is frustrating. The other thing that is annoying is that spills and general dirt gets stuck in the edges of the stove where there are slight openings in the seems.
