Love this range BUT...

We love the look and the way it cooks. My ONLY complaint is the touch screen panel. Looks nice BUT, I'm a little tummier and when I am baking in the oven and cooking on the stove top and my tummy (with my clothes and apron on) touches the panel and shuts the oven off or changes something on the panel. There have been a few times where I am baking a cake or bread and I've accidentally turned the oven off. What a bummer!!!

A little disappointed

I was so excited to get this new range! I have had an electric stove for over 30 years and am now delighted to have gas. The range is beautiful and has a very low back ledge, so it looks more like a slide-in than a freestanding. I have LP and it did come with a conversion kit. A professional changed the orafices and found it confusing due to the poor instructions. The stove top scratches very easily. I have handled the stove with great care, yet several scratches have appeared. The oven drawer heats very SLOWLY! I turned it on for the first time preparing Easter brunch to use just as a warming drawer. I set the thermostat at 250 degrees, but after half an hour or more it still hadn't reached that temperature. I can't imaging how long it will take to reach a normal baking temperature. The regular oven works great! It is big and foods bake evenly.

Malfunction of self clean feature

Disappointed that the self-clean feature malfuntioned on a less than year old appliance. It occurred just before a holiday and caused us grief because it couldn't be fixed immediately. We did get someone out a short time later but still had to wait a week for the part. Otherwise we have only one other complaint and that was uneven baking. When the other problem was fixed the service tech said that the oven temperature was off by about 40 degrees and that was fixed at the same time.

Yes, I love it. There are two minor "flaws"--The griddle does not work well as it is too close to burner. The stainless finish on the stove knobs peels of during cleaning to reveal unsightly white plastic. Finally, large burners should be in back, not front to more effectually use exhaust feature. I have the Cafe microwave, range and dishwasher and love them all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look, adds a modern and contemporary look to my new kitchen. Love the baking drawer and use it often. Though it was a bit pricy, I like the features of the center grill and power burners.
I read reviews about the noise of the oven fan. I have not found this to be the case. You can hear the fan when it turns on, but it isn't very loud at all.

The computerized touch pad has a brain of it's own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this apppliance. BUT the computerized touch pad and brain has a mind of it's own. I'm cooking a roast now for 4 hours. every 10-15 minutes the oven temperture stops and the has to be reset. A reading of "Broil Hi, Lo, close the door" comes on out of noware. This also happens just out of the blue when the oven is shut down??
I have only had this appliance for a few weeks. I guess I have to have a service call to reset the system. For a GE premium product ,with a very high price tag to act up like this is not acceptable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The convection function has not operated. It does not reach temperature in any mode.

We've had this Café model for two years and love it! I cook using the cook top and ovens with ease- My girlfriend bakes and loves the ovens! We are used to the somewhat noisy fan and it cools off quickly and turns off very fast. We are very happy!
