love this oven just switched to gas and will never go back to electric oven cooks and cleans with ease burners have alot of power love the look of it

Leaks gas/won't get to temp

The oven will not get to temperature. Major gas smells any time the oven is turned on. It indicates that it has reached temperature, but the convection never turns on. I checked it with an oven thermometer and infra-red. Claims to have pre-heated to 425, yet registered 300. Change the cook mode and it gives a new, and accurate, reading. Then repeats.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Nice Change

I've had this range in service for about 6 weeks and so far so good. I have wanted a gas range for quite a while as I never did like cooking with an electric range, as there is no visual clue as to the heat input except when on high, and when you want to slow down (or increase) the cooking speed it takes quite a while for the cook top to respond. If I had any complaint it's that it takes about twice as long to get a pot of water boiling -- it gives me a chance to have another glass of wine.

Love The Way It Looks

My GE Cafe' Gas Range (Model CGS985SET3SS) was delivered yesterday. I love the way it looks; it adds so much to my kitchen. I'm just learning how to use it that's the reason for 4-stars. I'll follow up later with additional comments after I've had a chance to thoroughly test it out.

Sturdy and effective

Bought this for a new kitchen renovation. It was installed two days before Thanksgiving and was used extensively that day. Loved making gravy from turkey drippings on center long burner. Oven easily cooked the bird as the warming drawer heated up the fixin's effectively.

This stove is wonderful to cook on, easy to clean and love the large size oven. The fifth burner is great for breakfast with the elongated pan for eggs and bacon. The warming drawer is a bonus when you need to keep food warm. The only thing negative is if you lean too closely to the front panel you hear the beep of a selection on the display. I need to clear all to make sure I did not turn anything on accidentally. Overall this is a great appliance looks professional in the kitchen do not regret this purchase.
