This may be a great gas range but if you use propane don't buy it. The left front Power Boil burner is useless unless it's used on to boil water. The burner's flame is uneven. The front part of the burner has a high flame while the back part is half the size of the front. If you cook food on it your pan will be heated unevenly. It impossible to cook on. The bad thing is that GE say's it's compatible with propane but it's not. If we had know this was a problem we never would have bought the range. GE's customer service has not been any help. The bad part is their tech's know that this is a problem but are powerless to help. GE should not sell this unit with a propane conversion kit. So I for one will vote with my wallet by not ever buying another GE product again.

Very nice appearance, Good even heat, easy to clean. No major problems .customer service is excellent, nice features. Good cast iron grates. the cast iron over the burners did chip up some but that is not a big problem. can get new ones easy from ge. Very pleased with accuracy of heating temperature - both oven and stove top.. go ge, good one.

Not what I was hoping for

I bought this oven hoping to have a useable bottom cooking drawer. It is only good for use as a warmer In addition to being noisy, the fan blows out the burners on one side and makes it difficult to cook meals using both the burners and the oven. The technician was unable to help solve this problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted to update our range for 4 years - 4 years from electric to gas and I think the wait was worth it. I love this range! I have had it connected for 5 days and put it to work. First off, pasta with the power boil is amazing - then homemade chili with instantaneous heat control - then a couple pans of homemade lasagna. My lasagna double batch takes my largest pan and I had no issues with cold spots! None. We wrapped up a Sunday in the yard with a turkey - best ever done in convection.
End result - I don't want to cook on anything else plus we have a pile of leftovers :) My husband thinks he went to heaven.
Buy it - you will not be disappointed!

Noisy Fan

Had the fan replaced and its still very nosiy. also the front burner wont light (GE is shipping out a part). We have buyers remorse, wish we purchased another product. Supposedly the fan keeps the electronics from over heating, but it is wau too loud. This is the first range we have ever had that we could even hear the fan. Really dissapointed . . . Weve only had it for 2 weeks so were hoping nothingelse goes wrong . . .

I just renovated my kitchen. The range was delivered and installed. Overnight it began alarming. I had to get up every 20 minutes to clear. I never got to use it. Dormont appliance replaced. The second stove was delivered. My contractor checked it out while still on the truck. It looked like a forklift smashed it. They then delivered my third range. I've had it for three months. Guess what? It's alarming now too. While i wait for service I was told to cut the breaker to keep the range from alarming. I am so angry right now. To use the stove I need to go to the garage and turn the breaker to the stove off and on. Not to mention having to take off work for the service call. Does anyone care??????

Hate It, Hate It, Hate It!!!

I bought this a little over a year ago. I needed a range ASAP because my DCS broke and they stopped making parts for my model. This sounded perfect. But I came to find out how far from that it is. First, there is only one, 1, burner that has a simmer function. It also happens to be one on only two, 2, that will boil water. Forget about keeping something warm on a back burner while you sauté or pan fry anything. It's as useful as a hot plate to me. The other glaring fault is that the broiler isn't adjustable. One setting, broil and its in the top oven so you can't move what you're cooking more than about 5" away from the flame. All it's bells and whistles actually render it useless to a serious cook.
My advice, go the extra couple of thou and get a real professional stove or go cheap and get one that all the burners go high to low.
My simmer function blew out exactly a year after purchase so I'm not even covered under they're warranty.
