Connection drops all the time and then makes conflicts with my router where I have to restart the computer and reset my network to get it back up and running

There are several factors that can cause unstable or intermittent wireless connection between your range extender and your devices. These can be due to physical obstructions or wireless interferences that could compromise the quality of your wireless connection.
Change the wireless channel on your router. Preferred channels to use are 1, 6, and 11 for the 2.4 GHz network and channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 for the 5 GHz network.
