I bought this about a month ago and I love it. My grandchildren like to help me make the ice cream. It makes enough for several ice cream cones and bowls of ice cream. I love that the sprinkles come out with the ice cream.

Have used this at least once a week since purchasing and it makes the perfect soft serve each and every time. I do with that the condiment holders on the side were more secure and I knock that top lid off all the time but works perfectly. I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't really dispense well, it kind of squirts out in parts and pieces and I thought it would work more like the larger commercial ones I guess. Overall, I would recommend this ice cream maker to a friend though. I love mine, was a good decision purchasing it.

Selecting the right recipe is important I selected one that the ice cream was made with unflavored gelatin in it and the ice cream turned out perfect! Even thick enough for a cone!! The grandchildren love it!

It took me 4 orders to finally get all the parts. First order was missing bowl, handle, mixing part and another part I don't know what it was called, second order I got only the bowl but it didn't fit this product. Third order I did get the right bowl and last order I received all parts that were missing. All said it was a giant problem because I had bought this for my 5 year old grandsons Birthday. It did turn out ok only because it works great when you have all the right parts.

This is probably more of a novelty item than a serious soft serve ice cream maker. Even with everything as cold as possible the first portion of soft serve is kind of runny. It does thicken to a more appropriate consistency after dispensing about 1 cone's worth of ice cream. However, once it dispenses it does not come out in a steady stream, but rather, in about 4-6 inch segments. This makes it difficult to prepare that nice looking cone you might expect. The "Mix-it-in" is also more of a novelty and you are probably better off just sprinkling toppings on at the end. All of that negative being said, it is still a fun way to make ice cream for children (and adults alike). If you do not go into this appliance expecting to make soft serve like your favorite local franchise/establishment I think you can have a great deal of fun with this item.

For the price the machine is good at making soft serve ice cream. It took me a couple attempts and was ready to send back, the key is making sure the mixing bowl is completely frozen. I think this will be a fun machine to do soft serve ice cream with the family.
