Burned out after a month

Bought it a month ago. Only lasted a month before I started smelling like something was burning while it was running. Don’t want to risk biting the building down so threw it away. Would not recommend and will never purchase again.

I purchased 2 of these units. Our house is very dry during the winter. I place one on each side of a very large living room and they work great. Just wish they didn't bubble so loudly.

Bought 1 a year ago and another a month ago. With a split level house, one is in the upstairs bedroom, the other in the downstairs family room in the driest time of winter. Keeps the house humidity at around 35% even when the weather is -19 degrees outside, with the furnace and the AprilAire running fulltime. There is some white noise when running these, we tune it out. Easy to refill, cleaning as per instructions. Definitely more comfortable indoors with these running. We have great tap water, if not use filtered water of some sort.

Terrible

I bought this last year, and I don't know why I bothered to keep it at all. It worked well enough the first two times I used it, though the top part was always extremely loose and never locked into place. After the second time, it quit producing steam. The water gets warm and the head gets hot, but it didn't produce enough vapor to do anything with the medicine in the little "tray." (Which is also terrible since it's hard to get in there without splashing it on the head or dumping it down the hole into the water.) I put it away thinking maybe it had overheated or something, but it kept doing the same thing. Broke it out again today to try again, and nada. It's going in the recycling; I should have taken it back last year.
