We purchased the microwave a month ago and have been very pleased with it with one exception. This exception is not Cuisinart's problem. Our old microwave was 1100 watts. The New stainless steel Cuisinart is 1000 watts... only 100 watts difference but a world of cook time difference. Things that used to take 15 to 30 seconds now take 45 to 90 seconds to cook. If instructions on the boxes of frozen items say 1.5 to 2.0 Min... that means we have to cook 2.5 to 3.5 minutes. It is going to take some time to adjust to the new oven... but as I said this would be a really great microwave if it was 1100 watts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was disappointed. Being used to a 1250 watt sensor microwave. I chose this for appearance, and reliability. I do have to restart vegetables frequently because they have not cooked thoroughly on the fresh vegetables icon. The beverage icon heats my coffee cup for 1 1/2 minutes. The coffee is much to hot to drink.

I love that it’s stainless steel and very attractive. Only problem is that it’s suppose to be 1,000 watt microwave, but it doesn’t get as hot as our sharp. Also, every time I open the door I have to hold it because it moves while trying to open the door. Very light weight. Not sturdy.

I have brought other stuff two tea pots plus this microwave from you happy ....BUT up to a point ...on this oven how in the heck do you set it for low readings for ,say for instance reheating biscuits ?!? In other word ALL of the number pad settings go from a minute up starting with the number one all are PRESET higher than what one may need ! Have read the instructions and will perhaps read again ,may have missed something, but do NOT think that I have .. Other than that (we just set it to 1 now and watch for 15 seconds ,but) ,EXCELLANT stuff you guys put out
