Yes, as noted it is somewhat noisier than others...however, we suspect that is because of the stainless steel interior. Rather have the SS than less noisy.
We have only had it a short time but...so far so good.
We were tired of replacing microwave ovens every 4-5 years and since we have a number of Cuisinart appliances that have served us well for many years, we decided to go with this item.

Love my stainless steel microwave. Cuisinart has produced another amazing kitchen appliance. Their stainless steel appliances look wonderful and cleaning is a breeze. My only complaint is that the instructions were not clear enough about removing the all-over film from the outside of the microwave. The film is almost totally invisible and it is hard to find a corner to begin the process. Once started, though, the film comes off easily. The microwave works wonderfully and I love the automatic settings for different foods.

Quiet, looks fantastic and has a large interior. Works very well. I was impressed with the stainless steel on the top and sides of the microwave. Most have just a black or grey color covering. Really like the pull door handle, instead of pushing a lever button.
