Great Microwave

We have been using this MW for about six months and have been very impressed with overall results and some of the special features. Reheat, warming, and extended exhaust are all great features.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Didn't last very long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit stopped working within 33 months of purchase. Considering I have 6 LG products in my house I thought I might get some special treatment from LG, NO such luck.
Told me to call for service. While the magnetron is still under warranty, the cost of labor and the assosicated parts will cost more then a new unit. Looking for a new unit but NOT LG

Good Microwave

This microwave cooks very well. I do not have a use for most of the automatic cook features, but setting the timer (yes, it has a timer) and power level is very easy. When cooking frozen foods, I find I need to cook them for a bit less time than the package calls for.
The turntable only goes around, not back and forth, as another reviewer stated.
I like that the fan pulls out, even though it is only about 4". It helps keep smoke and grease from the front of the microwave, which is one of the primary reasons I purchased this unit.
My only complaint is that the front of the unit is not stainless steel and scratches very easily. The specs say the color is stainless steel, not that it is made from stainless steel. My guess is that it is carbon steel that has been coated with some sort of clear coat. Magnets do not stick to stainless steel.

Easy to use

This microwave cooks foods a lot hotter and more thoroughly than your "average" microwave. It's also very quiet and you don't hear the cooking fan turn on and off as the heating cycle begins. Very nice microwave. Plus, the design and exterior control are eye catching.

I love my new microwave. It is very quiet and I can see the control panel. Best of all, if I am using the stove and it gets hot on the bottom of the microwave, the fan automatically will come on to protect the microwave. Great features!

Didn't like it at first because it was quite expensive but my wife liked it right away. She was really excited about the slide -out hood. She cooks a lot food with a lot of steam and vapors and our old oven just could not blow them away. Boy, was she really excited to use this and it did not disappoint her. Other features are standard as with other brands but it seems like this oven works better in some ways. And , yes, the wife is happy that this oven does not make a loud sound when cooking which is another cool feature.
Will definitely consider buying other LG products in the future as we are impressed with our fist LG product

Love all the features and settings

We bought this LG microwave along with matching LG range and dishwasher in January. We looked at a lot of products and read a lot of reviews before choosing the LG appliances. So far we're very satisfied with this microwave. The many features and settings are great. The extenda vent is a handy feature when cooking on the large front burners of the range. The melt and soften settings work perfectly. All in all, very satisfied.

Love the extendable vent, the quiet fan operation, the popcorn button... everything about it! I didn't want to pay this much, but had another brand that was terrible; so, considering you get what you pay for, this one is well worth the extra outlay! It has a nice feel to it, it cooks fast and efficiently, is easy to clean, has a nice light over the range so I can see what I'm doing.. I wish I'd bought this one, first!
