Inexpensive but not cheap

While the price for this phone is very affordable, it still provides the features that you would expect on a more expensive model.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

This product has great features and is extremely user friendly. I had it up and running in no time. Was able to setup everything from ring tones to background, alarms , apps, and contacts. I was very happy with the product and I am looking to upgrade to another Samsung soon.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, ease of use

a pretty good starter for a smartphone for a techno fool like me. pretty easy to use. not enough information in manual, like what to do when you constantly get low storage message. nice pictures, no zoom. good sound quality on both ends which is important with elderly parents to talk to. i would really like to have a much more etailed and comprehensive manual. for goodness sakes samsung, it is online and you don't even have to print it. why are you holding out?

Cons: not enough memory on phone so you have to moveeve

Great Value for a smartphone...but....

I got this Galaxy Exhilarate because I had some great success with my Galaxy S III, but wanted to give this to my wife, who did not want anything as big as the "III". I felt this was the right choice because it was not as huge as the higher end phones and I felt that it hit the "sweet spot" as far as size. I really wanted my wife to like this phone, but the sound from those in which she called consistently said that her voice was very muffled and hard to hear. After dealing with this for about six months, We decided that we had to give up this phone and will have to go with an alternative...and I hate to say it, maybe an iPhone (4S), as it was in the same "ballpark" for size, but with tried and true sound quality.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor sound when calling

The Exhilarate is a very nice and inexpensive phone. It is loaded with features that are common to the Galaxy family although this phone is now somewhat dated sporting a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor and limited power/battery capacity. Otherwise, it supports 4G LTE and the size is great for shirt-pocket use. My biggest gripe is with the battery capacity. Typically, you must charge the battery every single day. No you cannot skip a day. That is annoying especially when traveling and with limited access to charging. If power capacity was better, the Exhilarate would be almost perfect considering its size and all the features, cost and capabilities. The 1 Gig RAM capacity also limiting but not a big deal. You can download most of the apps you need and some that you want you have to be selective. Can't go wild loading apps. Otherwise, this phone has all the features and is many steps above the starter smart phone. It looks good, feels good, and it works great. I really like it.

The capacity stinks

Every time I want to download another APP it tell me there is not enough storage. I don't want to remove APPs that I currently have so I don't get to load any new ones.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

cannot update OS

I actually bought this phone online as a replacement for one that got wet. I was not aware it came with a 2.3.6 OS and have tried everything I know of to update the OS to the 4.0 that was on my previous phone but it will not allow it :- / SO DISAPPOINTED - I loved the features of my 1st phone (like being able to change the text size - paramount for an older person like me)
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: cannot update os
