Slightly larger Fascinate with a slide-out keyboard and 4G

I upgraded to this phone from a Fascinate. The core specs are identical to the Fascinate. It has the same resolution, and CPU, and slightly more internal memory than the Fascinate. It only comes with a 4GB MicroSD card, but that wasn't an issue for me as I just brought over the 32GB card I already had from my old phone.
On the plus side, the screen is even better than the one on the Fascinate, along with the aforementioned slide-out keyboard, and 4G access is BLAZING fast...when you're in an area that has it. (Which, fortunately for me, includes most of middle Tennessee where I live.)
My biggest gripe so far has to do with the new bootloader on this phone, which means there are no methods as of yet to safely gain root access. I would like to load a custom ROM on here like CyanogenMod 7, but it's impossible to do without root access!
Also, like all 4G phones, the battery life will not get you through a typical day. Keep your charger handy.
Great features, nice crisp screen, good range and reception of signal. Awful battery life and by awful I mean awful. 1 hour at best on standby. Have had it only a month so I haven't figured out how to deal with that situation except to have either car charger or wall charger with me at ALL times.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, good reception power
Cons: horrible battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

best phone i ever owned, super fast, great battery life, easy to learn to use
Guess what? This is the one! The phone that has all you need, and speed and stability...its just simple, cheap, and awesome. I don't know how else to describe it. 4 G, full featured, just awesome...,.
Purchased this product last week. So far I could find no issues at all with this phone. Had a DROID2 and this phone simply outperforms with clarity and speed.
Cons: like all other smartphones battery doesn't last
I would recommend this to a friend!

I owned the Samsung Fascinate and when the Stratosphere came out it was a natural upgrade choice. I loved my Fascinate for the stability and features and the Stratosphere gave me the same features but with the addition of 4G LTE, a physical keyboard and 2.3 Gingerbread. Samsung makes a solid phone, it feels good in your hand and not cheap. While everyone else is rooting their phones I have not rooted the Fascinate or the Stratosphere and don't plan to because they run great straight from the factory. I highly recommend this phone.
The Samsung Stratosphere (SCH-I405) is a wonderful blend of Media Center, Phone & Email Center.
I use my phone for business and pleasure and have found that on the business side, the phone could use a couple of tweaks (like being able to select all messages when emptying my exchange folders) but overall it performs well.
The slide out QWERTY keyboard makes composing and replying to emails a snap especially when it is a lengthy message.
One peculiarity is that when setting separate notification sounds for texts and emails, the phone will always play the (default) text sound before it plays the designated sound for a received email.
Browsing response is fast, especially when connected to a 4G network or wireless. Display is bright & clear. Speakers are okay.
Pros: well-rounded device
Cons: some bugs to work out
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this due to slide out keyboard and is a 4G LTE network phone. It is a bit bulky, but not surprising with keyboard. Overall, very satisfied so far. However, I have only had it a few weeks and am still learning what it does.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: bulky due to slide out keyboard, auto-correct can be troublesome
